Gabion Basket for Modular Retaining Walls, Bank Protection, and Landscape Works

Gabion baskets are prefabricated box units assembled from woven mesh and filled with local stone to build gravity walls, bank revetments, and landscape edges. The compartmented design keeps the fill in place while allowing drainage through the structure.

Structure

Gabion Basket is formed from folded hexagonal woven mesh panels, including base, side, end panels, diaphragms, and lacing accessories. After assembly and stone filling, the basket becomes a stable box structure for permeable retaining, bank protection, and drainage relief.

Working Principle

Gabion Basket works as a gravity protection structure through the weight of the stone-filled boxes and the connection between adjacent units. The stone fill resists sliding and overturning, the voids release water pressure, and laced units act together to create a stable continuous face for retaining walls, bank protection, and landscape works.
